Architectural Review Request (ARR)

An HOA architectural review request involves the completion of a form that captures the scope of work for proposed changes that impact the common elements of the Laurel Park property. The requests give the Board or Architectural Control Committee (ACC) the opportunity to review the proposed modification and determine if it meets community standards and guidelines.

Typical condominium architectural review requests involve modifications to the exterior, structural elements, or surrounding common elements of a residential unit (e.g., plumbing, electrical, and safety systems). Approval first must be obtained to ensure building systems and aesthetic consistency is maintained.

Typical ARR Submissions

Door and Window Replacements: Replacing entrance doors, patio doors, or windows with different materials, colors, or styles.

Interior Structural Changes: Moving walls, upgrading flooring (e.g., changing from carpet to hardwood), or modifying plumbing and electrical lines that can affect other units.

Structural Additions: Installing new hardwired light fixtures or ceiling fans.

Safety System Impacts: Wiring modifications with the potential to impact fire alarm system.

Security Feature Additions: Installation of smart doorbells, security cameras, or cameras on the exterior or door.

Prior to performing modifications, homeowners must submit an application for approval by the Board of Directors. Written approval provided by the Association must be received before the start of a project. A response from the Board typically is provided within thirty (30) days following receipt of the request.

To submit a request, access the Appfolio Portal and navigate to Shared Documents > Forms to download the ACC Request Form. Complete the form and follow the instructions provided to submit the form.
